May 4th, MHC patient receives surgery in New Orleans!

Congratulations Brenda!

Excitement for all as My Hope Chest is sent the first out of state patient to The Center for Restorative Breast Surgery in New Orleans! On May 4th, Brenda Wiley of Indiana underwent her long awaited breast reconstruction with our new partners. Dr. Scott K. Sullivan of  The Center preformed the surgery in this state of the art, one of a kind facility.  Brenda was treated like “a princess” and the staff of the hospital couldn’t have been nicer.

The Center for Restorative Breast Surgery was established to serve as a dedicated resource for women seeking the most advanced methods of breast reconstruction utilizing the body’s own tissue. Founded by Frank J. DellaCroce, M.D., FACS and Scott K. Sullivan, M.D., FACS, the Center for Restorative Breast Surgery specializes exclusively in state-of-the-art breast surgery techniques (DIEP, SIEA and GAP flap procedures) that allow for breast reconstruction without sacrifice of important functional muscles.

We are truly grateful to the hospital and its founders for working with MHC and helping us provide uninsured women the “final step in breast cancer treatment”.  We can not thank the Center and their dedicated staff for working with us to help Brenda move past her cancer journey at last…

My Hope Chest believes…

“Losing a breast changes your life… and getting it back truly is life changing”.
