America’s Oldest Intimate Apparel Company Launches Online Campaign to Assist My Hope Chest
St. Petersburg, FL (June 3, 2014) – Imagine living for years without one or both of your breasts . This is the reality for thousands of women in America who fall through the cracks of medical care after mastectomy. Olga intimates announces a year long online campaign this month “matching” donations to My Hope Chest made through their website dollar for dollar up to $75,000 with a total match goal of $150,000 to support the charity funding reconstructive surgery uninsured and under-insured breast cancer survivors.
“My Hope Chest’s is focused on the “celebration of life” and survivors. We are truly grateful to Olga and their parent company, PVH Corp. for not only recognizing the uniqueness of our mission but for joining hands to be a part of the solution. We are ever hopeful to see donations from Olga reach the $150,000 goal, which will profoundly impact our ability to continue our important work for thousands of breast cancer survivors who had lost hope of ever feeling whole again. We are confident that together we will bring closure and healing for all who desire, creating “new butterflies” and bringing hope to life!” says Alisa Savoretti, founder of My Hope Chest.
Just as a caterpillar may see its world coming to an end before it becomes a butterfly, women facing breast cancer are terrified by the unknown. Still, of those that survive treatment, many have no ideas that thousands are unable to acquire this life changing surgery or there is an organization to help.
“In the most heavily funded cause in America, women are still living without one or both breasts- it’s ridiculous. My Hope Chest is confident as the word spreads about our unique mission focused on survivors, more will join us to turn October into breast cancer ACTION month, addressing the unmet need that goes far beyond the awareness of the disease. Our efforts are focused on happiness after cancer and “new beginnings” … who wouldn’t want to be a part of that?” said Savoretti.
Now through April 30, 2015, consumers can support the cause by visiting www.olgaintimates.com/my-hope-chest to donate an amount of their choice that the Olga brand will match (up to $75,000).
